Installation & Initial Setup
This section describes the recommended setup process for first-time deployment. Follow all steps in sequence to ensure safe operation and reliable connectivity.
Unboxing & Inspection
- Unbox the TEFLA device and accessories carefully.
- Inspect the device body, lenses, display window, and ports for visible damage.
- If any damage is identified, do not operate the device and contact your distributor.
Charging Before First Use
- Charge the device fully before first operation.
- Use the supplied power adapter only.
- Do not operate the device while charging in environments with moisture risk.
Device Placement
- Place the device on a stable surface in a clean, indoor environment.
- Avoid direct sunlight, reflective glare, and high-dust areas.
- Ensure comfortable seating height for the patient.
Mobile Application Setup (Attender)
- Install the Attender mobile application on a supported Android phone.
- Ensure app permissions are enabled (camera, microphone, and storage as required).
- Log in using the credentials provided by your administrator/distributor.
Connectivity Check
- Connect the mobile phone to a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
- Confirm that video calls function smoothly on the same network.
- Proceed only when connectivity is stable to avoid interrupted sessions.
First Test Session
- Create a test patient profile in the Attender application.
- Initiate a test consultation to verify audio, video, and portal connectivity.
- Confirm that optotypes render clearly on the device display.
- End the test session securely.
